The book "It was a Lie" by Pallavi Nayak is about a girl named Ananya who fell in love with Rajeev in her college days. Initially it was all well between them and they got married after that. Ananya was pretty sure about her career goals and was highly independent but Rajeev wanted her to be dependent on him for each and everything. But due course of time, Rajeev shows his original face by putting rude and negative comments on her. Finally Ananya decides to walked out of his life as she was unable to handle it anymore.
